Six photographers of the Iowa City Camera Club captured the beauty of Iowa Barns during a fall tour. A gallery of their work is on display at the Washington Public Library. Howard Hinton Jr's Image “The Simplicity of Winter” now part of the Professional Photographers of America Imaging Excellent Collection. We'll show video critiques of two of his images and the image that reflects some of the adjustments and thought processes from both critiques. Take note of the reviewers pointing out issues while also suggesting possible methods of improvement. Howard incorporated the insights from both of those critiques in the final image.
Mari Roseman will present a short, informal presentation of photos from the Midwest to the West that she's taken on her driving trips where she's shooting out the window while her husband is driving, mostly while zooming down the highway. She's named the series "Scenes from the Passenger Seat." In addition to photos, she'll share some technical details for anyone who'd like to try this out themselves.
